Okay It's Friday

I should be posting another update today. But I've been sick the whole week and last night I only have two hours sleep because of my unrelenting cough. I'll try to go back to bed now but promise I'll be back on Monday to declare the winner of the giveaway. I will be posting some updates too and on Friday I'll post the March - April giveaway. Have a nice weekend everyone.

Crochet Class Assignment, Headband and Valentines Day

It's time to update my blog...this week was a little bit slow than the previous weeks. But are my recent projects...

I had my crochet class last Saturday (Feb. 13) for toddler sweater. It's getting warmer out here in the desert but it's still good to learn how to make a sweater for my little boy. I have not finish the sweater yet for we have another class this coming Saturday (Feb. 20) and on Sunday we'll learn how to make granny squares. ;)

Here's a pic of my little boy Adaen while he's fitting the half front of the sweater. LOL!

But I did not like how the color of the yarn came out around the chest so I decided to "redo" it and below is the finish pieces I have so far...(less the sleeves, I have finish making both of the sleeves but I was not able to take a picture of it).

I was browsing through Ravelry the other day and I found this cute hippie headband pattern made by Creative Yarn that is perfect for my spring/summer collection.

So of course...I can't resist...I have to make one or two or three...LOL! So far I made two. Here are the pics...

Since...the copyright allows me to sell this online (YAY! Thank you so much Creative Yarn). So...I'm right now selling the headband at my Etsy store. But I've added a personal touch...I did not used her flower pattern and made my own colorful flower pattern.

And since last Sunday was Valentines day. My La Familia and I celebrated it at our favorite buffet "Feast Buffet" at Sunset Station Casino.

I took a pic of my little boy eating his spaghetti or trying to eat his spaghetti. LOL!

So that's it for this week...please drop by again next week. ☺☻☺

please don't forget to leave your comments for the giveaways here and here. February 28 is almost here so don't miss this chance. For those who left a comment thank you very much. ^_^

And... ready for another week of knitting and crocheting . Looking forward to the second installment of my crochet class (Toddler Sweater ) tomorrow (Feb. 20) and Granny Squares on Sunday (Feb.21) . Yay!

Have a great weekend everyone. 'Til next week...

Crochet, Knitting Projects & Favorite Superbowl Commercial

Yay! It's Friday and time to update my blog. It had been a busy week and Colts lost the Superbowl. Oh well...better luck next year.

Two commercials that I like were both from Doritos. The dog and the little boy both of these commercials made me and my hubby laughed so hard.

Finished three projects this week...

First one is the crochet beret similar to Rosalie Hale's (Nikki Reed) beret in the upcoming movie Eclipse. To all Twilight fans I think you remember this part from the book. This is the flashback scene of Rosalie's past life...and she was telling Bella how she became a vampire.

Here's the pic of the behind the scene and of course the beret I made...

It does not look exactly the same but I'm still working on the knitting felt version of this beret. I made the crochet version for spring/summer. The design and material is breathable so you can wear it during spring/summer. And it's available for sale at PBF Collection @ Etsy.

I had another order of a slouchy knitted beanie and I'm so glad I was able to finished it in a day.

Here's a pic of the beanie...

Since, this is obviously a fall/winter beanie so I'm not selling this at my Etsy store until this coming fall. But if you want to order it just email me.

And at last...I finished crocheting the mary jane slippers.

Here is the pic of the slippers...

This is still a prototype so it got some flaws on it. Since patterns are not perfect so I had to make my own corrections and finally figure out how to make it look better, I even came up with alternatives for the strap. LOL! But the next one I'll be making will be definitely for sale at PBF Collection .

My work in progress right now is the Lakers beanie for my hubby.

And here's a preview pic of the beanie...

My hubby is so excited to wear this. LOL! ^_^

And I've been digging through stacks of my knitting magazines in our garage for more patterns that I'll include for my spring/summer collection.

I always keep all of my knitting magazines...I have recently stop my subscription to Vogue Knitting and Knit 1 but the patterns they have in the magazine is just so beautiful.

Here's some of the spring/summer back issues that I have in my collection...

And I recently bought this fabulous book of knitted flowers...

Fabulous knitted flowers that are great for embellishment.

And oh...please don't forget to leave your comments for the giveaways here and here. February 28 is almost here so don't miss this chance.

So I'm set for another week of knitting and crocheting. And my next crochet class (Toddler Sweater ) is tomorrow. Yay!

Oh yeah...this Sunday is also Valentines day. Have a great Valentines and weekend everyone!!!

Purse Giveaway, Etsy Order and Projects

It's Friday again, I swear this week went by soooooo fast. I guessed it was because it was a busy week for me.

Here are the projects I finished this week...

First, I have to finished sewing this purse giveaway for Somewhat Simple December giveaway which I'm one of the sponsor. It was long over due but I'm so happy I finally finished it and mailed it to the winner. Here's what it looks like...

And of course this is available at PBF Collection @ Etsy .

Second, I had another order from Etsy for a Red Beanie that will match the Red Fingerless Gloves.

Here are the before and after pics I took. LOL!

It's me modelling the beanie that's why the photo is crappy. LOL!

But this beanie reminds me of the beanie/cap Kirsten Dunst was wearing in the movie "Elizabeth Town". It's similar but not exactly the same.

Third, spring is around the corner so it's time to start thinking about my spring/summer collection .

I've been borrowing books from the library, searching the web and going through my old knitting magazines to get ready for my spring/summer collection.

Of course, I still have to finished the mary jane slippers and this months giveaways one and two. If you have not leave a comment yet please click the highlighted link for a chance to win these giveaways. I'll be picking 2 winners this time.

Part of the PBF spring/summer collection will be this cute summer beanie. ^_^

So will be a busy week for me. And this Sunday is also Superbowl Sunday.

Have a great weekend everyone. To all football fans out there... have a great Superbowl weekend...I can't wait to see the commercials!!! GO COLTS! LOL!
